I recently had the incredible experience of doing a luxury boudoir photo shoot in Saint Paul with Kyra, and I can’t say enough about how exceptional the entire process was from start to finish. I walked into the experience unsure of what to expect, and walked away feeling empowered, seen, and truly beautiful.

Kyra is not just a photographer—she’s a consummate professional with the kind of warmth and attentiveness that immediately puts you at ease. From our first interaction to the final photo review, she was consistently kind, clear, communicative, and reliable. She met me at the door on shoot day, helped me select the best outfit from the options I brought, and guided me through every step with a thoughtful, steady hand. Her background in art is clearly evident in her work—this is no hobbyist with a camera. Her mastery of light, silhouette, posing, and composition reflect serious training and deep creative talent. Every frame felt intentional and artful.

One of the most meaningful touches came after the shoot: Kyra personally came to my home to review the photos with me and my partner. Viewing such intimate photos in the comfort of our own space made a huge difference, and she was very helpful during the selection process. TBH, choosing was the hardest part because every image was that good. Her artistic guidance helped us think about image variety, layout cohesion, mirrored poses, and overall visual storytelling in the folio we selected.

Hands down the BEST experience I’ve had getting my photos taken. Kyra (and Sarah!) is an amazing human being and she truly takes the time to get to know you and make you feel comfortable in front of the camera. As someone who has struggled with my body image my entire life, I wasn’t sure how this was going to go, but when I saw the photos, I cried. I finally felt beautiful and she was a big part of that. Pro tip: buy a package for your significant other to remind them what a beautiful bada** they are-they will thank you!

Kyra is amazing and I am OBSESSED with how the photos came out.
We did a boudoir shoot and we even did a little mini mommy and me photo shoot. Kyra reached out to me right away which I really appreciated. She came to my house to help me figure out some outfits for the shoot which was really nice since I was worried about what to wear. She is amazing at giving direction and showing you how to pose. I (63 year old woman) highly recommend Kyra and her studio, Fine Grain Boudoir. After lifting weights for almost two years and losing 40 pounds, as well as retiring from my 40-year teaching position, I thought, hey girl, this is the time to showcase your efforts, and I am so glad I found Fine Grain Boudoir. Kyra was warm and engaging from the start, even offering to come to my home, roughly an hour away, to get to know me and to better understand my style and motivations for a glamour photo shoot.

During this visit, took her time to talk with me as we discussed possible clothing options.
